Janet's Story
Several years ago, I had a "reading". She checked out my spirit and said, "You are not of this world, you just dropped in for a visit." Then she asked me about my "purpose" in life. I said to go through life figuring out what my purpose is! Still trying to figure that one out. However, it has been a journey. Eternally optimistic, I try not to hold opinions for or against anything (Zen stuff) and the truth appears. Three kids, lost one, that was a tough time...went a little nutso, banged my head against the wall and then regrouped because I still had two daughters who needed me. ced one along the way. Life is good, retired from Law Enforcement and then returned to work part-time after I did all of the things retired people are supposed to do! Boring...way to much polyester and motorhome traveling...not for me. I golf, play poker, write, enjoy six grandchildren who are involved in EVERYTHING and are over achievers, much like their grand-ma-ma. Life is good, no aches or pains, last time I was in the hospital was for the birth of my child 32 years ago! I've outlived my accountant and physician...down to Turbo Tax and a physician's assistant. Days Creek and the Umpqua River still evoke memories of a quieter more gentle life that I feel fortunate to have experienced.
