Janet's Story
Well I am computer challenged so this profile may take a while to put together. I will definitly need the help of one of my children. Lets see, since Jr. High, at Castro, I went to Campbell High School, where at the end of my junior year the school closed. So for my senior year I went to Blackford High. I only attended 3 classes a day because I was in the ROP program. I took the cosmetology coarse and ended up finishing cosmetology school at San Jose City College. I worked as a stylist in Campbell at Designers LTD. for 8 years then to another salon in Campbell for less that 2 years. Then settled in at Signatures Salon for another 8 years. alon here in Hollister for the last 8 years. My husband is also from San Jose. He graduated from Oakgrove 1981. He is an Electrician. We feel very blessed to have 4 great kids. Alex will be 20 in july and is attending Long Beach State Univ. Brittney will be 19 in Aug. and went to CSULB for 4 months but decided she really just wants to go to Beauty School. So now she attends SJCC cosmetology dept. Joshua is 12 and is our athlete. He plays Pop Warner football and Little league. His teams have won national and state championships. With the help of Dad as Coach. Josh is in the 6th grade. Kyle just turned 11 yesterday and is in the 5th grade. He was also on the same football team the won the nationals in Florida. He likes golf. My hobbies as you can guess involve anything the kids are into.
