Janet's Story
Life
I retired from Stegmeier Corporation on December 29, 2006 where I worked in the accounting department. My husband retired from the Arlington Fire Department in July 2006 and became the Fire Chief of Springtown, Texas, where we now live. After a year and a half, he resigned that position and now works for Texas Motor Speedway in the Fire and Rescue Training Division. He is also a volunteer firefighter for Salt Creek FD. UPDATE FEBRUARY 23, 2022
My husband no longer works for Tx Motor Speedway. He became the fire chief of Boyd fire department. After he left there he because a firefighter in Parker County ESD. He finally retired completely from firefighting and now he just does his singing and DJ’ing. I am still retired. We now have 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The oldest great grandchild is now in college! No longer live in Springtown. We are enjoying our golden years.
