Janet's Story
Right after high school graduation, my family moved to Ann Arbor. My sister, Jean Holland, attended Ann Arbor High School, graduating in 1968, the last year it was Ann Arbor High. I entered LS&A at UofM, then after one semester transferred to the Nursing School. As an RN, I worked at University Hospital when there were still 18-bed wards and later at the new hospital taking care of transplant patients and other post-surgical patients. I taught nursing fundamentals at a practical nurse school and at UofM and worked as a visiting nurse and public health nurse for Washtenaw County. Medical School, the history of the UofM Medical School. I finished out my career at the UofM Comprehensive Cancer Center as a clinical study coordinator and trainer.
My husband, Jon Tarolli, is from Owosso, Michigan, and he graduated from UofM engineering. My older son, Michael, is a woodworker, and my younger son, Steven, is an engineer. Steve has been married for two years and Mike is single. We were quite active in Boy Scouts while the boys were growing up. For many years, we visited the Outer Banks in the summer. We enjoy gardening and traveling and living in Chelsea, Michigan. I love to dance and have taken up line dancing. Looking forward to seeing all of you at the reunion!
