Janet's Story
I graduated a year early from night school so I could join my new husband who would be returning from Viet Nam. Anyone who knew me would know me by my maiden name of Jones. No, I did not have to get married but at 16 thought I was in love. Guess I wasn't too smart back in high school. The marriage didn't last as long as the war before I returned home again a year later, single and with child. I went on to college off and on while raising my son. I've been happily married to Charlie Lawrence (Five years my senior-graduate from Fontana High) for the past 36 years. We raised two wonderful children that bring us much joy to this day. ail an event planning business as well as a talent agency. I have been truly blessed with love and happiness and enjoy what I do for a living. Never a boring moment unless I choose it to be.
My favorite class was Drama so naturally pursued a modeling and acting career. After obtaining an agent in San Diego and once I experienced a few national commercials, I found that I worked better on the other side of the camera. I was 5'7 and only weighed 102 pounds in high school, was very shy and called "Skinny Bones Jones". I have since gained a few pounds and have come out of my shell. I love God, my family, country and happy to have been raised when values and honesty meant something. May we all stand up and fight for the freedom that is being slowly taken from us.
