Janet's Story
After high school, I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life by getting married, instead of going to I.U. where I had been accepted into the Physical Therapy program. The length of my marriage lasted the smae length that it would have taken to get my degree. When that was over, I moved to Hamilton (where I've lived ever since) and became a bartender. Being a bartender had to been the best learning experience I've ever had! I learned how to tolerate all sorts of people and how to handle a lot of different situations.
I married Tom Butler, who graduated from Auburn High School in 1966, in 1983. After 25 years, we are still together. We used to have a small construction/company together where I even shilgled roofs and poured concrete! Now, we just do the woodworking. Basicially building wine racks, jewelry boxes, cedar chests, etc.

r Peis in 1991, and they have become my children. We quit breeding them in 2003, but I still have 2, who are my very spoiled kids!
I have worked at Cameron Hospital in Angola since 2003. I work in the Rehab Center, either helping the therapists with patients or working on charts and scheduling. I also work on the Med/Surg floor, either as a nursing tech or as unit clerk. I enjoy doing all the jobs and I never get bored doing just one thing all the time.
One of my biggest accomplishments in life was becoming State President for the Indiana Business & Professional Women's Orgnization. I gained so many friends and grew and learned from all of them.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my dad, because he never judged who I was or what I wanted to do or be. He was always very supportive of everything. He's been gone for a little over 3 years now and I still miss him very much.
