Janet's Story
Who am I today...I am married for 29yrs, I have three children,my son Josh is 26 and still exploring his options, Jenny is 24 and an R.N. strong and gentle at the same time, Joy is 22 and on her own in Florida with her fiancee. I have been busy Raising a family, battling some chronic health issues. Today I am involved in a recovery program at my church "Celebrate Recovery". I teach 12 step classes, and lead a support group. I used to work with anorexic and bulemic girls [I was anorexic in college], and now I work with women who deal with co-dependency, some of the issues include, abuse, family of addicted, divorce, issues with maintaining healthy boundaries, etc. I find this very rewarding.
I never really took the career path, though I am considering going back to school for a masters in counseling. I graduated from Rutgers after first getting an associates [2yr degree] from Somerset county college.{is it still called that?] I got my bachelors in political science. o would have thought that was possible?] We moved to south Jersey, what a difference, It is almost another state.Everything here is Philly related, tv, radio,sports teams ,food. It took a while to get used to it. I cruised back through Somerville areas, the circle is gone,downtown is almost unrecognizable. I didn't go past the high school though so I don't know if it changed much. I remember moving into the new H.S. I guess we were sophmores?? I was new to Somerville in the end of our freshman year, so I learned my way around the old H.S. and then the new one the next year. I remember the bomb scares a couple of times a week, I hated when it happened during gym class, we had to go outside in those ugly green gym uniforms, ugh. well I guess that's enough for now. Life has been an adventure...I have learned a lot from all of my ups and downs and look forward to learning a lot more. I hope the class of '73 is doing well. I'd love a reunion, I don't know if we have ever had one, but it could be fun. I live in Marlton , NJ My married name is Eaton.
