Janet's Story
Life
When my husband and I first got married the draft was breathing down his neck so he joined the Navy. He graduated from NTS Orlando and went to radio school at Bainbridge, MD. We lived in Key West for a year. He was on a sub (Picuda) for part of that time and then the Gilmore. He went over to Italy on the Gilmore and I went over later. Our first child was born in Naples. When we got back stateside we moved to KY so he could go to seminary. We have five children; 2 girls and 3 boys. The youngest boy is 20 and still live...Expand for more
s at home while attending school. We have 6 grandaughters; five are our eldest daughter's, and the 6th is our oldest son's. We have 2 sons both in the Navy in Norfolk. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats which make it hard to go anywhere for an extended amount of time. The son still at home has 2 ferrets and I really enjoy watching them romp around the room. I work at a copies and printing place 3 afternoons a week. My husband presently is employed at Dollar General learning to become a store manager, but that is a whole other story.
