Janet's Story
Well, I joined the Army Reserves while still in high schoo and got married in 1980 and started on a family right away. We had a son (Cory) and a daughter (Rachel) and ended up in Cape Girardeau. Once the children were both in school I went to SEMO and got an associate degree in nursing.
I finally got out of the reserves in 1992 because they started having wars and stuff.. After college I got divorced and went to work as an RN. I stayed single for the next 10...Expand for more
years because raising two teenagers by yourself is no picnic! And I wanted nothing to do with any man interested enough to want to be around that much craziness. And so the kids are grown and I love them to death. Neither are married and we have no grandchildren. So I remarried to a wonderful man moved to Jackson. I'm still working at the hospital. Oh yeah, and working on my BSN. I have to say that though I've had some ups and downs life has been good to me.
