Janice's Story

I retired in 2007 and moved back to my birth state of Ohio. Mom is living nearby, Dad deceased nearly 20 years ago. I have two grown children...my son and his wife live in San Francisco. He is a CFO for a biotech firm in Berkeley. My daughter lives in Manhattan where she researches and edits cookbooks (Paula Deen...just published, White House Pastry Chef... work in progress). She is also working on her own cookbook which her agent is now peddling to publishers so our fingers are crossed for her success. I divorced in 1982 and never remarried. Sacramento, aide to a state assemblyman (BT Collins), governor's appointee (Pete Wilson) and produced the California State Lottery program for four years. Life has been very good to me. I spent the last six years before retirement as the in-house advertising agency and marketing officer for a local bank. When the bank sold, I entered into a partnership in a video production and advertising agency...then decided I had enough of this working jazz and now I live a life of leisure ... golfing, travel, and cooking (have to keep one step ahead of my daughter...although I may be falling behind on that one!).
