Janice's Story
I was an "Army brat" when I attended Seaside High in my Sophomore year (1965-66) and went by either Jan or Janice. I loved my time at Seaside High. I was a majorette and had a small circle of close friends (Michael Wright, Chris, Rosie, Olive Newman, and Sandy.....I don't have any idea about most of the last names). Unfortunately, my Dad got reassigned and I spent my Junior year in Fort Rucker, Alabama and my Senior year in Wichita Falls, Texas.
I remained in Texas and most of my working years were spent in Dallas. In 2000, I retired from Southwestern Bell (AT&T) after 28 years (yeah for early buy-...Expand for more
out offers). After taking care of aging relatives, my husband (Mike) and I finally got to move to the Northwest in February, 2008. We now live in Port Ludlow, Washington. No more hot Texas summers for me!
I'm enjoying walking dogs for the local animal shelter two days a week and will soon begin registering blood donors for local blood drives a couple of times a month. Other than that, there are always projects around the house (e.g., putting storage cabinets in the garage, repainting the lousey job the builder did, etc.).
