Janice's Story
I always wanted to be a doctor when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I joined the Army instead.
Ok, so it's been YEARS since I've been back on this site. But I guess not much has changed, boring I know. I am still in the Army, going on 10 years now and I have a VERY Handsome lil boy named Jayden. We are currently stationed at Ft. Drum, NY, where it's cold as hell all the time and never stops snowing, well, not yet anyway.
My way of relaxing used to be playin' video game. Now-a-days, it's sittin' back in a chair and watching my son run around the house as happy as can be. Just to hear him laugh and see that smile on his face is enough to make me forget about anything else.
I do have a couple heroes. My grandmother and my grandfather (R.I...Expand for more
.P. I miss you both). They always taught me to be who I am and that I could do anything I set my mind to. Everything I know and learned, I received from them. And because of that is the reason I am who I am today. They were my inspiration to go after anything I believed in. I just wish they were here to see all my accomplishments.
I have lived in many places since high school. I started in P-dale, then it was off to Oklahoma for basic training, Virginia was next, then after that came Korea, Texas, Kuwait (1mnth), Iraq (5 mnths), Arizona, Northern Cali, and last but not least New York. I moved from all these places when the Army decided it was time for me to go.
In 10 years, I hope to be RETIRED. I'm going to get there by finishing my last 10 years in the Army. It will be great to reitre at 37 years old.
