Janice(Morgan)'s Story
As you all may or may not remember, I did not finish high school. I chose to start my family at an early age (like at 16). Mike and I have lived on our own since that age. We have had many trials and tribulations over the last 40 years together but remain strong and together no matter what is tossed our way. We have 2 wonderful and very talented sons and 3 very handsome and talented grandsons. Two of them are twins. Mike still jams on the drums with Jordan(our youngest 28)who is now, after serving 5 years in Military, back at home with us. My other son(Steve)is living in the hill country getting back to the land living in isolation from this world of worldlyness. I can remember wanting to live communally there for a while in the old days. I'm much wiser now and wonder "What the hell were we thinking?". I am a stay at home person now. I worked for about 15 years of that 40 and no longer need to since Mike has changed careers again and is an Interventional Radologic Technologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has been there for 12 years now.I love to watch movies at night after dinner. You know, lounging on the couch(yeah, I'm a couch potato)It keeps me out of trouble ya know.I watch ALOT of horror flicks the more blood, guts and gore the better. We belong to Netflix so that's not a problem.Sometimes I have to go to other sources for some of the underground stuff. We still live in good ole' GP and wouldn't have it any other way(go East...Expand for more
side). I hate the freeways and the traffic. We were empty nested for about 8 years. That was really weird since we have NEVER not had children in our home. We like to hang out on weekends and BBQ, sit in backyard, and jam on some tunes. Thanks to my talented kids I have kept up with the times as far as music goes. We have supported them all the way. I couldn't count the amount of gigs we have been to. Jordan started playing in clubs when he was 11 in a band with his brother Steve so it was required that his parents be there. I wouldn't have missed any of them regardless. We also have done alot of camping thru out the years and have seen alot of Texas. I like to camp in the fall and early winter. Some frost and a good hard rain and a bottle of Jagermeister can really make for a good time. I'm usually in charge of the camp site and the cooking(chief, cook and bottle washer in other words). Late at nite when Mike is asleep, I like to play online video games. I'm not a clothes hound,I dress as simply as possible. Too much commercialism in peoples' lives today. This attitude can get you in very deep financial trouble if your not careful these days. I HATE shopping anywhere.I guess I would be perfect if I were single. I'm very low maintance and plan on keeping it that way.
Mike has been my greatest inspiration throughout these years. I have learned more from him about life and my own experiances than any school could have ever taught me.
