Janice's Story
I love living in Calfornia, the weather is the best! The picture is of my Red Hat group - I'm the one in the front on the left! We have great fun once a month going out for lunch!
I'm enjoying water aeorbics three times a week - and am the Volunteer Advisor for high school students at Mercy Hospital and train each of them for 24 hours - so have nearly finished with the last 13 new ones. They cover the Volunteer/Information desk from 5-8 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday/Sundays. We meet once a month to talk about goals, develop their own personal mission statement, decision making, etc. It's a great group - with 65 students. I tell them they keep me "Young"!
I'm active in our Lutheran Women in Mission group, weekly BIble class and Volun...Expand for more
teer Coordinator of VBS in City Parks - with other churches in the community, then Bible Clubs in public schools after school program. I'm on the board for Habitat for Humanity of Merced County and we hope to start building very soon as the city has given us four lots.
Larry just finished putting Travertine tile in our family room, painted the ceiling & walls, & woodwork so looks alike a totally new room - thanks to a picture I bought at our auction for the Hmong fundraiser!!
We've enjoying traveling, have been in all 50 states (we completed this challenge for our 50th anniversary in 2006), and will be going to Boston in November for the National Hostelling Internatinal conference. We share our home with travelers - so keep busy but enjoy them.
