Janice's Story
Hey to all,
As an airforce brat, I attended lots of schools, graduated from Wheelus Hi Sch, Tripoli, Libya, N Africa/class of 65 and went to Pensacola Junior College, P'cola, Florida. I married Byron Yoder/Class of 62, Tate High School and Univ. of Tn (football). I also attended East Meadow High, Hampton High, Pensacola High, and Thorpe Junior High. We have two grown children, boy (Zane) & girl (Leslie). We currently have three granddaughters and one grandson. I (or we) would love to hear from anyone we knew in the "good ole days." We currently live in Daphne, Alabama. My folks did live in Biloxi,Ms (but now live in Fairhope, Al), brother in Slidell, La. and sister in Atlanta, and yes, two out of three lost their homes to Katrina. They are alive and for that, we are thankful. It's been slow going for them, and our hearts have broken ...Expand for more
over all that they lost forever.
In the past 2 years, my daughter, Leslie, had cancer and my husband, Byron, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Both of them are "ok" for now. Byron had surgery in Houston, Tx at MD Anderson in May of 2008, and we go back soon (oct) to get the "verdict" on how well surgery and radiation went. (That trip and verdict went well) We continue to go to Tx every 4 to 6 months.

we love to race sailboats, fish, and kayak. I paint watercolors. I also work at keeping two businesses going.
An update, July ll, 2009: all is well with my family. Zane got married Feb. 14, 2009 and we immediately added Robyn and her 3 children to our family. We love it! They own a bakery and cafe in Fairhope.
