Life
Well I moved back to North Carolina in 1999 and I have been here ever since. I went to a private school to finish up high school and graduated in 2000. I had my first child in 2001 (a boy) and my second in 2005 (a girl). I am married but I left my husband after Christmas (2007) because in a nutshell, he is a stupid idiot. So me and the kids are now renting a house until I find a house I want to buy or build another one. I just bought myself a new truck and I started a new job in October 07. I am still a registered nurse and I am still working in pulmonary/cardiac, but at a bigger hospital that for the most part, I like better. Another plus is that I only have to work 3 nights a week and make as much as I did at the other hospital working 4 nights. I am raising my kids basically by myself, b/c as I said earlier, my husband is a stupid idiot...it amazes me when people have kids and then just decide one day they don't want the responsibility of being a father and a husband anymore, but want to continue to have the amenities of a wife that makes good enough money that you can not work and just go to school. u would think one would be grateful for the sacrifice, but whatever, one less mouth for me to feed and more money in my pocket. I left him b/c I wasn't going to let him use me like that anymore. Running around like a 16 year-old with a brand new license, staying out all night and never lifting a finger to help me or the kids. I don't get to go out and act stupid, and I sure as hell am not going to flip the bill for anyone else to do it. But I am not bitter. I chose to leave him b/c I know I deserve better than him...and not that I necessarily have to start a relationship to get that. I treat myself well and my kids are good to me, and if I don't ever find prince charming, that's ok, I am far from alone. I feel bad for my kids that their dad, at this point, is worthless. All I can do is hope he will wake up one day and realize what he is missing out on, and while he is having his "mid-life" crisis, I'll keep on doing the best I can for Dylan and Grace. I don't hear much from old friends in OK, so feel free janice rn 1982 at aim dot com. Would love to hear how everyone is doing and how their lives have turned out :)
