Janie's Story
Since high school I've done many thngs. I've worked at Viking Yacht Co. for a total of 17 years, I've worked in the medical field as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, Ekg Tech and a home health aide. I recently worked at the pantry at our church (I loved it). I've been busy being wife to Tony (for 28 years), mom to two son's that are full grown now, wife to Joe (for 6 years) and Grammy to two grandchildren. I'm very fortunate to have many friends, God is good, all the time. I have 2 sisters and a brother that I love. We have a lot of barbeques, there are many things that I've done and a few that I still want to do...but I would like to be thought of as being a "little different" way back when I think I resented being known as "sister Natalie's daughter" but looking back on that now..what an honor that I was brought up in a Christian home! I hope when people think of me or remember me that they do so with kind thoughts and maybe they'll remember me as being a Christian, a child of God.
Who would have thought that I would have been widowed twice. You truly never know when somethings going to happen. Be ready!
I always tried to be everyones friend. I wanted my mom to be proud of me. For all intents and purposes, I think she was. More than that I want God to be happy with me and what I've done with my life and raising m...Expand for more
y children well.
Wow after what I just wrote you want to know the wildest thing I've ever done in school? Shoot, I got suspended twice in the 9th or was it the 10th grade? and that was within 2 weeks! Once was cutting school and the second time was for smoking in the lav! Were they the wildest? Nope..but that's all you're getting from me!
For many years I wondered what ever happened to Karen Hewitt and when I found her she wasn't interested in the fact that we were friends once...I was hurt, but life goes on.
My TV Obsession is Law and Order and CSI Miami, other than that I just listen to he Oldies!
My biggest surprise is probably being widowed at 48. Tony promised me forever and I thought he'd stick around for the ending! He didn't. I know that wasn't his choice, but I miss him every day that I continue without him! Then the same thing happened again...Joe promised me forever and now I miss them both, more than words can express.
I should have taken more time learning to slow dance! I should have stayed in college to finish nursing. And I should still finish my book!
The slow dance thing was great with Joe and I...we meshed/moved right in sync...then...once again I was widowed and think that perhaps I should read more!!! And raise canaries, when they leave you, you can just flu..never mind I won't finish that thought.
