Janis's Story
School
I attended Northwest University in Natchitoches, Louisiana from June 1976 through June 1977. I was an Art Major, but unfortunately dropped out to get married to my high-school sweetheart, Steve Bucher.
I also attended Delgado Jr. College, after I graduated early (left December 1975)
from O.Perry Walker.
I only went to school there from January thru May of 1976.
College
I graduated early from O.Perry Walker in Dec. 1974. I then went to Delgado Jr. College in New Orleans from Jan-June 1975.
I started North Western University of Louisiana in the summer of 1975 and only attended till December 1975 . My Major was in Commercial Arts/Advertising Design.
I then dropped out of college to marry Steve Bucher, whom I dated in the 11th & 12th grade at O.Perry Walker.
Workplace
I have been a free-lance photographer for the last 18 years. I mostly take photos for the society pages for about 3 newspapers and 13 magazines. During the charity black tie galas or social parties events held on yachts, 5 star hotels or bistros, I am hired as the official photographer to take photos of tho...Expand for more
se attending the event.My favorite gigs are the "Red-carpet runway CELEBS" photo shoot jobs where I photography the many celebrities that attend the different Galas held in Palm Beach County, Florida.
Of all the photography jobs that I'm most proud of (& have the most fun shooting) , is for a magazine called "OCEAN DRIVE" . Their headquarters are located in SOUTH BEACH, in Miami, FLORIDA ! For them, I need to take a lot of celebrity photos "on the red carpets". Every month I do 2 pages entitled "Shot on Site = Palm Beach POLO", and the other page is entitled " Shot on Site - Fort Lauderdale. I go from nightclub to nightclub or to local restaurants taking photos of the "young and beautiful people" partying & having the times of their lives. I LOVE BIG SMILES. Whenever I can get photos of celebrities, rappers/singer partying, on the "Red Carpet" or just chill'n, then that's always a big plus.
