Janis's Story
I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. I was a nurse for our 4 daughters.
All the men and women who have served in the military in the wars and given their lives or been hurt and have to live their lives with their injuries.
I have visited Washington DC and viewed all the names on the Viet Nam wall, seen all the grave sites in Arlington. I would like to go back and see the Korean Memorial and the WWII Memorial.
I enjoy watching the Dodgers games. I would go to see more games in person if it wasn't for all the traffic. I love all animals and creatures except snakes. My favorite pets are Cats and Dogs. My favorite wild animals are Pandas. I'm so thankful that China is doing so...Expand for more
mething to keep them from extinction and sharing them with the U.S. I have so many Pandas souviners that my family and friends have given me. I just finished a Panda needlepoint and framed it with bamboo.
Now that my husband and I are both retired we love to travel in the USA. We have'nt seen all of the northen and eastern states. We have enjoyed all the states we have visited. Our country is so beautiful, we haven't had any bad experiences in all our travels. People are so friendly and helpful when they are asked for any info about their state. If anyone visits Oklahoma City, make sure you visit the memorial where the bombing happened. It was so inspiring that I still get goosebumps just thinking about what happened on that day. Make sure you visit the museum also.
