Jared's Story
Life
Currently my wife and I live in a loft in Downtown Los Angeles (I'm looking at Staples Center as I write this, Eric Clapton's playing tonight). No kids yet so the two dogs, Kira and Kirby, will have to suffice. March 26th is our 2 year anniversary but we've been together since '96. Life is good and we have a close-knit group of friends here in Cali.
School
Hmm. High school was great. Lots of close friends. Not too many problems with teen angst. You were all there. You know.
College
Hmmm. College. I started at ASU and stayed on campus at the honors dorm. Was very fun as that particular dorm was all female until the "Honors Dorks" invaded; good odds for a young man ;) 1st classes were held in the dorm so robes and slippers were the norm. Junior year I left ASU and wound up at Univ of Kansas (KU Jayhawkers anyone?). Really focused on the acting/perfomance thing and delved more into music. Squeaked through...Expand for more
there and graduated in '92. From there, back to start a business (Show Space Cafe) in Scottsdale, Az.
Workplace
Currently I'm a VP at Washington Mutual running large complex projects and travel frequently to Seattle. This position coming after positions at two other financial companies Aames and IndyMac. WaMu is really a great company to work for.
Also, for the last two years, some partners and I have been establishing a company called Century City Builders. We have active projects overseas in construction and development and have really poured ourselves into getting this company going. My wife and I have travelled quite extensively for CCB and have met Prime Ministers, Princes, Sheikhs and so many interesting people. Lots of great experiences. It's exciting to see it starting to take off after so much effort and investment.
Military
No military service, but give a sincere thanks to those who have served.
