Jason's Story
Entered the Air Force's Officer Training School after UW graduation--it's now been 20+ years and I'm still going strong (no, I'm not the deviant who shows up on Google having been convicted of doing naughty things with a video camera and his roommate). Thanks to the Air Force, I've spent time in the sandboxes of Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Afghanistan (and parts unknown--I could tell you, but I'd be thrown in jail for doing it...no, it's only in the movies that they only kill you for hearing classified ...Expand for more
information) and have been blessed to see nearly every major country in Europe. I have the Air Force to thank for my master's and PhD and have taught at three different undergraduate/graduate schools and even taught a few classes in downtown Kabul during a year-long deployment. I also have the Air Force to thank for my family--I met my wife in-processing at my very first base and we now have two beautiful daughters biting at our ankles.
