Jason's Story
Life
Married since 1995 to my wife Holly. Have a daughter, Fianna, and a son on the way, Liam. Currently training to be a Deacon in the Roman Catholic church. Travel a lot - China, Tibet, Europe, New Zealand, Latin America, Alaska/Pacific Northwest. Of my greatest travel experiences, I slept on the deck of a boat for about 10 days traveling out to the Aleutian Islands. The best was a 14 day, 200 mile walking pilgrimage across through Portugal and Northern Spain to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostella.
School
High School was dull and mundane.
College
Undergraduate was at California State University Northridge. Was an absoulte blast. Spent some time wandering Europe after that. Went to graduate school at University of Louisville and worked my butt off for 4 years. Got my doctorate and interned in...Expand for more
Philadelphia, which was great! Ended up back in Ventura County and in a masochistic manner completed a Masters in Public Administration at the end of 2004.
Workplace
For a while I was a Clinical Psychologist for Ventura County Behavioral Health. I provided clinical supervision and oversight of staff. I also conducted psychological assessments and psychotherapy. Clinical research and staff/program development began to eat up more and more of my time. Now I am an Administrator at behavioral health, focusing completely on research and development. For part time enjoyment, I teach at the Cal State Northridge Marriage and Family Therapy program.
Hobbies
Composing music, playing guitar, my Vespa, gadgetry, listening to podcasts, listening to music (British rock, Power Pop, Rockabilly, Dub, garage rock, etc.)
