Javier's Story
After graduating from Irvin in 1975, exactly a week after, enlisted in the U.S. Air Force with 4 other Irvin graduates, Ben Avalos, Robert Perales, Max Ceballos and Raymond Malone. We went through Basic training together and afterwards went our separate ways. Was stationed in Lackland AFB, TX, Hahn AB, Germany, Mildenhall, England and Charleston SC all between the years of 1975 - 1980. ime in 1984,been there ever since as a Police Officer (who would have thunk?). During that time, got married and had three beautiful girls, got divorced, like an idiot, got married again to someone who didn't want a package deal, of course, divorced her (I was #4 on her list until one of her 3 dogs died and I moved up to #3). Got my AA at EPCC, BA at UOP. Maybe retire in a couple years and do a career change, maybe leave El Paso. It's been great, but need to explore, life is too short.
