Life Have to make a correction. I now have 11 Grandkids! My daughter, Megan and her husband, Matt, had a little boy, bringing the total to 11. I now live in Miami, FL in our motorhome. I work as a Defense contractor at US Southern Command. Last year I traveled to Panama for the first time. This past Easter I was in Haiti on a private project to build an orphanage. I used to live in the Norfolk, VA area (Suffolk). I was on active duty at Joint Forces Command. I am no longer a DOD natural disaster planner. I did that job for Major General Honore' of Hurricane Katrina fame. I developed the plans for how the military supported FEMA during the hurricane. I retired on 3 November 2008 with 37 years of service. I spent the last year as a recalled retiree. I entered the US Army in 1971 at Ft.Knox, Ky. My first duty station was Okinawa, Japan, 1972-73. Then Ft. Riley, as the assignment clerk for 1st Infantry Division, 1973-1975. Discharged, on to college at Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, where I joined the National Guard, 1977. I was commissioned in 1979, finished college in 1980 and moved to Ft. Knox, Ky where I transferred to the Army Reserves. I spent 8 years as a principal of christian schools and a youth pastor.
