Jay's Story
Life
After spending 8 years at Auburn getting my BA in music and BS in electrical engineering, I spent 6 years in Japan running the Asia business for Ikos Systems and getting fluent in the language. I now live in San Jose, CA with my Japanese wife and two daughters (15 and 12) where I am a technical recruiter doing contract work. I still play the tuba in quintets, wind symphony and sub for symphony orchestras from time to time. I like to play internet chess, do woodworking and care for my 85 roses. Let me know what you are up to. Whoever you are, I'm sure I'd like to hear from you.

School
At Narimasu in Japan had Miss Sue for 1st, Miss Roger for 2nd and Mrs. Clausen for 3rd. Liked Linda Weber across the street (broke her arm in the wringer of an old washing machine), loved Karen (Brown, maybe) in 1st (I think she broke her arm too!), Mary in 2nd and Georgette in 3rd (George got in the way). Back in the US, Peggy Chandler at Morningside for 4th, Armento and Lewis for 5th/6th at Skyline (1st year it was open). Competely in love with Karlyn Thompson at Mornin...Expand for more
gside and was crazy about Debbie Nolan and Maria Foti at Foulois (who wasn't?!) (7th grade was also the 1st year Foulois was open Principal was Bayes, Vice was Coburn, Band was Richard Bergman, Choral was Geller, Shop was Heath, who died a coupla years back and the the teacher that died in the shuttle, McAuliffe, taught there in 1970). I'd love to talk to Miss Callaway, who tought Core, and who married the teacher next door and became Mrs. Templeton. Whatever happened to the "Block" bullies from that school (Ed Charter, Jeff ?) etc.?) Liked Mr. Robie for civics. Remember Mr. Kline for math, Mr. Howe for PE. Played goalie on the soccer team (couldn't run because of asthma). Took Pat Lohman to the 1st dance at Foulois (where are you?). Moved to Alabama in the summer and went to HS in Montgomery at Lee, followed by 8 years at Auburn (music, then EE).
Workplace
Was an engineer out of school at Intergraph then moved to applications engineering, then sales management. Finally found out that I like technical recruiting so been doing that the last 9 years in San Jose.
