Jay's Story
Life
Hi
After school I moved out and got my own place and a job with a local Steel Company as a Welder. Over the next 3 years I had many jobs Lifeguard, SCUBA instructor, Bartender, Model and even a Plumber. In 1980 I started school in San Francisco to be a Deep Sea Diver. This job was not as I planned; it was very hard construction work and being 150Â underwater made it even harder. I came back to Tucson and started back at my old jobs. In 1982 at one of the many Lifeguard parties that year, I met a wonderful girl and asked her to marry me. But before she would say yes I had to have a real job. So the next year I started work at my fatherÂs Architectural firm as a draftsman and also1984 started at the U of A. In 1990 Graduated, and started to take my boards that same year. In 1992 my daughter was born, she is my one and only. Made Vice President 1994 working with my Father on many projects. rojects in southern Arizona. In 1997 a Warner Brothers agent asks me if I would like to be in a movie (the POSTMAN) I said OK. I had one of the best times of my life on the set. After the movie was out I got a call from the FORD agency in Phoenix and the Savage agency to Tucson asking to represent me. So started my second career, I was sent to New York for the I.M.T.A. and won (2) FirstÂs and (3) second places in the composition, so with that I have been Modeling and Acting in my free time and running a Architectural firm. My Father retried in 1996 and would come in to check up on me from time to time. On Sept 20 2001 my Father died of a heart attack. It was hard for me to take, but with my wife and daughter I made it through. The one thing I got from that was to live and enjoy life each day to the Max. I am very lucky in my life and treasure all I have. Family and friends are very dear to me, and some of my best times are playing golf with Jeff Cowles and Don Mower. Thanks Class of 77
