Jay's Story
I moved to Atlanta, GA after my former employer in CA moved to Jacksonville, FL in 2007 - only to go out of business when the mortgage melt down occurred in early 2008. I currently work on contract assignments doing audits with the Federal Home Loan Bank Boston and others at national companies when work is available. I am also working in my own company designing a new software system to perform mortgage audits. Previously worked twelve years for McDonnell Douglas Aeronautics, Huntington Bch, CA during the moon shot and Skylab days having started as a design draftsman and later as a manufacturing engineer. I obtained my CA real estate brokers license and owned my own real estate and mortgage brokerage company "Premiere Mortgage Network" that was located in San Juan Capistrano, CA. However, my real passion is acting; I hold membership in the Screen Actors Guild in Hollywood. Recently featured on TV shows Divorce Court and Braxton Family Values. Divorced for 12 years and currently live with my long time significant other, Teresa ("Teddy"). I have four grown children, from my only marriage, (3 boys and a girl). rama and music....yes I still play my trumpet occasionally. I played in the Texas Longhorn Band in 1961-62 and in the Lamar Stage Band that won multi state competion at the Enid, OK stage band festival in 1961. My first Lamar High School reunion was the 40th in 2001 ....it was amazing! Sorry to have missed the last one in 2011, but love to remember each of you and recall those old but wonderful times at Lamar. I ended up at Lamar when my family moved to Houston from Shreveport, LA in 1958; - a traumatic experience at the time, leaving long time friends and having to adjust to a new environment in a new school (Lamar) where it was difficult at times to meet new friends. Being part of Stage Band, marching band and working as a musician with the drama dept in productions "The Boyfriend" and "Plain and Fancy" helped me become a part of a creative group. Although born in Louisiana I refer to myself as a Texan because of my times at Lamar and UT Austin - I love the TEXAS Spirit. I lived in Orange County CA for over 45 years so I am also a Californian and my cell phone area code as well well as my heart is still connected to that area where my kids and long time friends live.
