Jay's Story
Class of 75 from Highland where I was known as Jay Scott.
Left for the Army where I returned to my birth last name of Miller. I spent 4 years with the 101st Abn., CSC 1/502nd Infantry 2nd Brigade.(11B/11C).
I got around. Got out in 79 and returned to Bakersfield for a very short time...
We have a total of 4 kids all grown. The oldest is active duty Army with 3rd Infantry, the middle son has served with the 101st Airborne during OEF and now is a hell of an ink slinger (tattooist). Daughter is living up in the Reno area doing a great job raising her son & the youngest at 22 is out learning the ways of the world. Good kids each of them!
Current job is the same I have had since 1980. I still can't believe I get paid to do it...I started with the Feds then moved out of state and then back a few years later. Been working in SoCal ever since. It's not just a...Expand for more
job it'a an adventure!

Funny how even "home" does change with time. Both my parents passed last year, within two months of each other. They lived long and wonderfully rich lives and I hope I am blessed to do the same. But things do change...the house I grew up in is still in the family but with new touches...same yet different.
I occasionally wonder where some of my former classmates are in their lives. Not being popular in high school wasn't bad per se but I wonder what happend to some of the people who I hung out with, some I could not stand and the girls I had such a crush on way back then...time marches on for us all.
Still life has been good. There have been ups & downs , I zigged when I should have zagged and some serious oh s*** stuff too but I have been fortunate, I am still upright. Hopefully life has been good to my classmates too!
