Jean's Story
Life
I was born and raised in San Leandro, CA. My dad died when I was 4, then my mother when I was 14. I was then placed with an aunt and moved to Palo Alto, CA. I graduated from Palo Alto High, then on to Foothill Jr. College, where I received an AS in Medical Assisting. During my time there, I met and married my first husband and had my daughter by him. It was a brief marriage, but having Tracey made it all worthwhile. I married my current husband, Terry Stone, in 1972 while we were both Boulder Creek hippies. physicians' offices until becoming bored to death with that and went back to college to study Health Information Management. I have worked in health care in one form or another since I was 19. I had my own business doing clinical data abstraction and disease classification for hospitals in the SF Bay Area for close to ten years and am now at Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford. (We live in Sunnyvale.) We have two granddaughters who are nearby, and our family is our greatest joy. Life is good -- I'm very happy and fulfilled, and I've much for which to be thankful.
