Jean's Story
After high school, I went on to play field hockey at Southwest MO State U. Freshman year, we won the national title. I graduated from SMSU with a degree in education (pe/health) but not before getting married and giving birth to my first child, Stephen, Jr. (1983). My second child, Megan was born in 1985. I began teaching pe at Seven Holy Founders in 1985 as well. My third, Joey, and fourth, Abbey, children were born in 1992 and 1995. In 2001, I gave birth to my last child, Isabelle. Louis Public School System--Carr Lane Visual and Performing Arts Middle School. In 2003, my oldest joined the US Navy and my middle son was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. In 2005 my first grandson was born. In 2007, my second grandson was born. In 2008, I rode in JDRF's ride to cure in North Carolina to raise money for diabetes. I also finished my first century (100 miles) on my bike, and transfered to Central Visual and Performing Arts High School to teach health. My third grandson will arrive in June of this year.
