Jean's Story

Workplace I am an operations manager for a national wholesale florist. Never thought I would work with flowers! The people I work with make my job enjoyable. That lasted until 2 years ago (2004), when I got laid off due to downsizing. So now I have a job at Home Depot in Greenwood Village Colorado. 1978. Went to Lackland AFB in Texas for basic training then on to Chanute AFB in IL for technical training. Was stationed at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, Alaska for three years. Attained the rank of Staff Seargent working with ground support equipment for aircraft. Then I was stationed at Lowry AFB in Denver, Co until 1984. Then I was medically retired. I continue to live in CO and I love it here!
