Jean's Story
After High School-I worked at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw Michigan in the Pharmacy Department for almost 9 years. I attended Saginaw Valley College for 3 of those latter years.
Then I joined the United States Army at the age of 26 which was a trip with all the other kids in my group were 17 and 18 year olds.
I was on the tug of war teams, played softball and basketball. I worked at Madigan Army Medical Center for almost 4 years which is in Tacoma Washington.
I met and married my husband of 23 years there. After leaving the Army. We both went to Bible College in Graham Washington for degrees in Theology.
We went on Mission field to Korea, Phillipine Islands, and Germany.
We also ran servicemen's homes for military personel-like a home away from home for them. We worked with Air Force at Clark Air Base in the P.I. And then with the Army in Baumholder Germany, Army in Colorado Springs, Colorado, also in Georgia, Kentucky, Texas, and Washington.
My husband also taught for almost 3 years at the college we graduated from.
We had our child in March 1994 in Puyallup Washington-who will be 16 years old...Expand for more
in March. We now are retired from those works and live in Oologah Oklahoma, where my husband's parents and one brother lives.
Our son has played basketball, football and wrestling-which he really excelled in all of them. He did the hurdles, mile run, relay teams, half mile, and was undefeated in all but some relay teams. He was the most decorated track and field athlete in the history of Oologah schools.
My husbands Dad coached high school football and track for over 30 years and is in the Oklahoma Football coaches Hall of Fame. So he gets athletics from both sides in our family.
We are both involved in the local church, and my husband teaches 1st and
2nd graders on Wednesday for the Royal
Rangers program with the Assembly of God churches.
Our brick house sits among 3 1/2 acres, which is all mowed, with various
decor, and flower beds, of which we have
11, and in some of them are 90 Azalea
plants. My husband grows strawberries,
and our son grows watermelons, corn,
tomatoes,okra,and cucumbers.
We live two miles from Oologah Lake,
where we fish, and tub behind our seadoo. We have dirt bikes also.
