Life: I grew up in NW Springfield and went to Ed V Williams Elem. & Reed Jr High. After my parents split, I attended Jarrett & Parkview. I regretted not going to Hillcrest where my roots were and where I grew up with kids I'd known from the 1st grade, but I had a good experience at Jarrett & Parkview and made new friends. In Oct '66, I moved to Kansas City MO and was a clerk-typist at Waddell & Reed, Travelers Insurance Co & City Hall before marrying Tom, the love of my life, 9-12-71. After that, I worked for Coleman-American & IRS before starting our family in 1977. We own our home and have lived in KC's northland (N of the MO River) since Sept '75. We have 4 adult children, 2 granddaughters, and 2 grandsons. They all live in or near the KC area except our Air Force son. Their ages & status as of Dec '09 are: ~Tanya, 32: College grad; Med. Asst. at a doctor's clinic; owns her own horse; has 2 dogs, 3 cats, and a few fish. Owns her own home N. of KC. Daughters: Tara Nicole, 9 & Taylor Jean, 3. ~Andrew ('Andy'), 30: In the Air Force since Jan 2000; TSgt at Beale AFB (Calif); in Satellite Imagery; part-time college student. Lives off-base & owns his own home. Most unique place he's been: Diego Garcia AFB in the middle of the Indian Ocean, 100 mi S of India's tip & 7 degrees S of the Equator. Has been deployed to Iraq a few times. ~Kevin, 27: DeVry grad; IT Network Engineer at Barkley Evergreen, an ad agency off downtown KC. Our tallest child (well over 6') and biggest baby (10 lbs/10 oz at birth). Married Christi, 28, in Apr '07. She works part-time transcribing & interpreting for the deaf in college classrooms. Live in their own townhouse. Sons: Paul, 2 & Truman, 8 months.
