Jeanette's Story

Life Hmmm...it all started on a rainy evening as I was being whisked away on a jet plane to the Pacific Northwest. I had graduated from high school and now I was on a new adventure to Washington State. There in college, I met my husband, Jeff when my friends and I were dancing on a coffee table at a college house party. I was only 19 at the time, and even at a young age...I knew this guy was going to change my life. And he did. We married in 1993 and two months later I was pregnant with my first son. We muttled through the hard times of being a struggling young couple and eventually took careers that had nothing to do with our degrees. Now, we own two businesses and things are looking good. I gave birth to my second son in February 2002 and my family is the most important factor in my life. Jeff and I love to take the kids snowmobiling, quad riding, jet skiing and boating at our cabin only 6 miles from Mt St Helens. It is absolutely gorgeous here in Washington...the only thing I miss about Texas, are the cute little southern accents. College College! It was the last mental party before I became a responsible adult. I met my best friends and my husband, Jeff during our college days. It was my first reality check that I wasn't going to Hollywood to become an actress and that I needed to ground my head for more realistic careers. I worked hard on my studies, traveled with a Children's Theatre group around the coasts of Oregon & Washington, I performed in 7 college plays (musicals were my favorite), and I made sure there was plenty of time to have fun with my friends and then boyfriend, now husband. College days were short but mine have lasted me a lifetime. Workplace Jeff and I own a few businesses. We had to sell another one of our businesses a few years back because it was just too hard to juggle all of them at once. But now, we sell and build home and cabin kit packages and we are a Land Developer in the Swift...Expand for more
Reservior area...buying and selling property in the Mt. St. Helens recreational areas. Actually, Jeff and I started a rock band in 2001, which we found was very rewarding. The band parted ways in 2003 and just recently, in 2005, we rejoined and have been jamming since! We play here locally for charity and other local celebration events. We play some classic rock, tons of 80's, and splashes of current rock tunes. We have some extremely talented musicians. When our guitar player, Tony was a teenager, he jammed and recorded with Kurt Cobain of Nirvana! He really is unbelievable! We're not looking to become famous, we all have day jobs. Actually, we all have a great time just making some noise!! It really relaxes the soul when you work for yourself. I get to the office when I get there and leave when I need to leave! I get a lot of time with my kids and that is my priority. And there is never a boss watching your every move. I hated that! And in our spare time (ha!), Jeff and I travel around the US and Mexico racing snowmobiles and off-road desert racing. Jeff and his brothers started an race team, Bi-Polar Racing in 2005 and they have been going strong since. The snowmobile team just finished their racing season for 2008 and my nephew, Tabor is doing excellent...he will definitely turn pro!! The desert racing side, competes in the Desert Racing Series...including, Pikes' Peak, the Baja 500 and the Baja 1000. For their rookie year, they placed 2nd at the Baja 1000 beating out the professionals including NASCAR racer Robbie Gordon and actor Patrick Demsey. Bi-Polar Racing has many trophies under it's belt including 5th place at this year's 2008 Parker 425 and 1st place at the 2008 Baja 500 in May. It is great fun traveling and cheering these guys on...how can a girl complain when I get to visit Mexico at least 3 times a year!! Check them out at BiPolar Racing dot com. I love my life and we are very happy people.
