Jeanne's Story
I want to thank everyone for their love and support during this, my darkest hour. Losing my son has been the most difficult experience of my life and having you reach out to me has helped ease my pain and sorrow...thank you all.
Hi everyone...
Well, I finally joined, and I'm looking forward to hearing from as many of you as possible. Back in 1961 I married Phil Albert (Hammond High class of 1957), we moved out to Southern California and have been here ever since. We have two children; my oldest son Jack just turned 51 and has 6 children ranging in age from 28 all the way down to 8! He and his wife live in the next town, only about 5 miles away so we get to see them often. All but two of his children have moved away to start their lives or attend college, time sure does fly. Our youngest daughter Jamie is 48 and has 3 children ranging in age from 27 down to 7. She and her family also live close by, so we get to enjoy spending time with them as well. n contact with quite a few people from school, namely Nancy Mahoney, Dixie Eastin, Gloria Doris, Nancy Pinkerton, Linda Wright, Sally Strong, Frannie Alvie, Joan (Bob) Janiga, Sylvia (Ronnie) Long, Nancy and Tom Summers, Lloyd Wiborg, Rich Haskell, Liz Nagy, Jerry Von Almon just to name a few. We sure do miss the ones that have passed, we kept in contact with quite a few of them as well. Of course, I hear a lot from my sister Terry who still lives back in Highland with her husband Chuck Bastin. Phil's brother Mike only lives about and hour and half away from us here in California and we see him at least every other week or so. Seems like just yesterday that we were in school hanging out at Maidrite's, The Igloo, Deitrich's Drug Store and the Fatboy, doesn't it? Or how about the I.C.E. dances every Saturday night? It was an ideal time and place to grow up. Well, I look forward to hearing from as many of you as possible and hearing about your lives and families.
