Jeanne's Story
After high school, I graduated from college, got married, and began a career teaching high school. I took time off to raise our four children and with "empty nest" returned to teaching. I retired from teaching in 2018. My husband, Mike, and I do a lot of entertaining, dining out with friends, and going to the movies. I love "company cooking," informational reading (its a teacher thing!), and enjoying our ever-growing family. We currently have twelve grandchildren ages 3-15 — whew, what a noisy group! ie or run out of money, whichever comes first. I love the finished product, though. My husband wants me to stop watching HGTV--hmmm, he may have something there. My best to all our classmates--we can't really be THAT old, can we? On a serious note, I have come to realize how very fortunate we were to have graduated from one of the best high schools in the state. As the first wave of "boomers," we had 3500 in our school, on a small tract of land, and an unparalleled variety of elective classes. It was truly a golden era of innocence and opportunity. My students of today can't believe what high school was like "back in the day." Thanks for the memories!
