Jeannette's Story

Life Married, I have 2 daughters, Kelley, & Cailin, both were born in Santa Cruz, CA. My daughter Kelley works for a medical manufacturing company in Dublin CA, & has a little girl of her own now, Lily. Cailin is working for Nordstrom's in Walnut Creek. In 1986 we moved to Washington State where the girls went to school and I was a stay at home mom. My husband and I purchased a franchise in 1997, and I went to work there. We sold the business in 2002 a Postnet postal & business services franchise in Everett-Lake Stevens WA. I lived in Marysville, WA after living in Snohomish,WA for 11 years. And I have moved back to CA in 2003 to the small town of Porterville, located about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Lancaster. I'm just getting to know my neighbors, and the area. I've been doing alot of yardwork, landscape, and pool upkeep! But I'm glad to be back to the warm weather and bright sun shine! My twin, Evelyn lives in Gardnerville ...Expand for more
NV, has a daughter, and a son. She is now a Grandmother to 2 boys! Great places to see in WA are the Space Needle, and the Experience Music Project! There are other Natural Wonders there too. Beautiful lakes, Waterfalls, The Columbia River Gorge. There is a great little town in the Cascades called Levenworth, which looks Bavarian. Great for tourist! It's on Hwy 2 which follows the Wenatchee River east, past Stevens Pass Ski Area, just east of Levenworth are some small towns where the Apple orchards are as far as the eye can see nestled in the mountains. A good time to visit is August or September. Of course Western WA is much cooler than Eastern WA which is very much like Lancaster!! Rattlesnakes, and sagebrush! Although they do have grain fields for miles! Washington grows good wine grapes and excellent Alfalfa there!! (Most of the Alfalfa Ranchers moved up to Eastern WA from the Lancaster area!!!)
