School
I attended Marana schools from the 1st grade thru graduation from high school. The school was small then and everyone knew everyone. It was awesome. I loved school because it was my social life. We lived 8 miles from school and because we lived so far from most everyone, it was a treat seeing the kids every day.
I made average to good grades, however, I had to work at it. Long hours of study each night and craming for tests.
When I was 13 I became very ill with the Asian flu, pneumonia, and bronchitis. Came very close to dying. I missed a lot of school to say the least. Mr. Dummuth taught Algebra th...Expand for more
en and he passed me knowing that I did not deserve to. I made terrible grades in that class. Just couldn't catch up and grasp the entire concept. Was not a good time in my life.
I had a lot of fun in school and I wouldn't trade any of those days for anything.
Workplace
I retired last year and find that right now I have way too much time on my hands. I quilt however, there are days that I just don't want to start a new project or even finish one, so I don't. Not working was the highlight of my "golden years", but believe me, it's not all what I thought it would be.
Grandmother to 16 and great grandmother to 6.
