came a paramedic. Then I worked in Oakland for approximately 10 years. Many of my paramedic students were firemen and recommended that I check out the fire service. Best advise I ever got! I took all the firefighter classes I could take and started testing. I got hired in 2001 by the City of Alameda as a Firefighter/paramedic and it is the best job ever!
