Jeff's Story
I am now 64, retired from Napa state Hospital. I like being outside the box when it comes to living and I kinda miss the chaos of life in a forensic mental hospital. Judy and I have two grand children, Luke Jeffrey Barnes and Jack Gordon Gribble. Nathaniel our oldest served in both wars and is now a police officer in Cobb County Ga. Julianne lives in Key West Florida with her husband who is an officer in the US Coast Guard. Jules is the family academic a few units away from a masters degree. Judy and I live in Franklin NC. Did I mention our son was awarded the medal of valor for his actions in apprehending a man wanted for murder in Florida? I am very proud of the way the kids have grown up. We have 4.5 acres here in Macon County NC. The Lord has been very good to me.Hope all of you are doing well.
I am now 52, I have been married for 26 years now to Judy Buscaglia, who I met 28 years ago in the town of Sonoma Ca. She is a living saint and a great mother. I don't just love this woman, I like her too. We have two kids, Nathaniel Adrian, who is 23. He is like me in that he is a bit of a brooder but has a great sense of humor. guitar player and was a 3 sport athlete in high school. Julianne Louise is my daughter who turned 19 last month. If I could only use one word to describe her it would be 'delightful'. She reminds me a bit of Alicia Silverstone's character in Clueless, but more modest. Julianne has some of my fiery temper when defending friends, family, or her sense of justice. She is as yet undeclared in her course of study. Julianne was a three year varsity starter in high school soccer. Raising these two kids was a pleasure I just wish there were more.
Judy Barnes, my wife is a nurse who works part time for Kaiser. She tells me I have given her a life she never imagined. (This is a good thing, right?) She is 52 also, but could pass for 40. The children adore her, and she recently threatened to steal my nephew Kyle who is 3.
I am still alive, something I never imagined for myself. I currently work for the Ca. Dept. of Mental Health. I am a Behavioral Consultant. A challenging occupation for sure but it has elements of excitement and danger, and is one of the altruistic careers. Make no mistake about it I am a very conservative republican these days. I have had moderate success in investing and real estate. I like to scuba dive and have recently started flying though I am not licensed yet.
