School
Maxine Whisler and I were high school sweethearts. We meet at Manzano and she became Miss New Mexico a few years later. She died at 42 from MLS. I came to know her again in 1995 when I moved back to Albuquerque. We learned a lot about life together.
I am married to the love of my life whom I met in San Diego when I was stationed on the USS Enterprise in 1980. We married in 1992 and have been (as most couples) through our trilas. I still get a charge when I see her after traveling in Europe or Asia for a while.
My work requires travel and I have traveled, visited or lived on several continents.

Military
Went through college in three years trying to get to work life as quickly as possible (go figure).
Then I got sent to Naval Supply Corp school (six months of MBA hell)in Athens Georgia (University of Georgia).
Then got sent to Submarine School in New London Conneticut(three months. Finally assigned as Supply Officer USS Will Rogers 659 Blue Crew. Tom Clancy (Hunt for Red October) mentioned Will Rogers and a very special incident I witnessed which is still secret.
I became the Battle Sations Missile OOD (Office of the Deck) who shared a missile key with the Commanding Offcier and was responsible to getting the boat to launch depth and hoovering for missile launch. A resposibilty I still dream about.
Next was the Submarine Supply support 9SUBSAT)in New London where I decommissioned the USS Nautilus and then went to the the commissary in New London Conneticut.
Then I tranfered to the USS Enterprise in Bremerton, Wahington where I got my ass chewed out daily by Admiral Rickover's office on the supply status of the USS Enterprise.
Finally, I was nominated and accepted by the USS Marine Corps to transfer to the Fleet Marine Force where I was the liasion officer between the US Navy and the Marine Corps at El Toro, California.
I was actually a Marine for 18 months before I left active duty.
