Jeff's Story
Alots happened since high school. Went to work as a machinist after graduating from maplewood JVS in 96, and going to NTMA for journeymans certificate, but took time off in the middle due to other problems. I got married in 1998, and divorced in 2000. I finished my NTMA schooling that in 2001, finishing a 4 year degree in 3 years, and started going to Akron University part time as Mechanical engineer. I liked going to college, much different than the high school bs i had to put up with. I was was on the deans list for acedemic acheivement. Never did finish though. although i wanted to be a mechanical engineer, the pay in the engineering field is not as high as I was hoping. coming, and at that moment i realized i need to get away from this place. i posted my resume on career builder and monster, looking for a career in a better climate. I recieved several offers, and took a trip to Los Angeles, CA for a few interveiws. I was hired on the spot at the first one, after a battery of tests and a psychological evaluation (it was a long interveiw). I moved to Los Angeles 3 weeks later, and started as a Shop Foreman in a machine shop in San Gabriel. My mechanical and manufacturing skills have let me work my way all the way up to VP in the 23 person shop, and along the way I've led the shop to the highest sales dollar years in the 63 years of operation. I remarried to a woman from the Phillipines in 2006, and have 2 children, a girl and a boy. I bought my first house in April 2009, about 15 miles east of Los Angeles.
