Jeff's Story
Life
I am a VP of a company that manufactures cabinet doors based in Monrovia CA. I have worked here since 1986. I work out of my home office in Camarillo as well as in our Monrovia office. Since its a family owned business and I am married to one of the daughters I have a responsibility of overseeing many areas of our business including sales and marketing. My main passion is building leaders and doing whatever it takes to keep our company the national leader in Cabinet Doors. Recently we moved back to Camarillo to be closer to our main facility, coming from Elk Grove, in the Sacramento area for 12 years. We love being back in Ventura County and renewing old friendships and making many new ones.
We have a son who is at Moorpark College and soon to transfer to Biola University, and a daughter who is attending Camarillo High. I am on the ACHS Booster Club Board and have had a blast helping out sports teams in Scorpionland. This year we won the Pacific View League in football by beating Rio Mesa! in our College Group at church and playing piano/keyboard in the church band. Life is full and I have been blessed.
I often think of my friends and the memories while walking the halls of Camarillo High. Some things have not changed at all, like the gym and the specific smells that went along with it. They finally got a city water hookup so the rotten egg smell in the water is a distant memory! The school is actually better now than in our day and I hope to always be a part of it in some way to contribute to our future Camarillo leaders. I recently visited Mr. DG who still lives in town, to thank him for his Spanish classes and the life lessons he taught me so that I could succeed in life. He really appreciated the 2 hour visit. He even called out my name immediately after seeing me at his door. And I have changed a lot since 1976.
I graduated from Master's College in Santa Clarita in 1980 and then tried various careers as a teacher and real estate before settling on my current occupation.
