Jeff's Story
Life
I'm still living in Grass Valley, CA. In my "now" photo, along with a reasonably accurate, if not especially flattering, picture of me are my sons, Ben 15, and Steven, 12. I practiced law in Nevada County (Grass Valley & Nevada City) for more years than I would care to mention -much less that you would probably care to think about. I do a variety of things these days-some of which make me just about enough money to eat and pay the rent, etc.
I'm very involved in my sons education and they are doing really well academically and they are each well rounded young men with a good senses of humors. (Just remembered, I was voted "Best All Around" at YV-which at least would describe my sons-if not me-then or now.)
Very happily involved with a very good woman that I've known for over 20 years as a friend. I finally figured out that she might be silly to commit relationship with me-since I finally stayed single for more than 1 1/2 hours after my most recent " last marri...Expand for more
ge. Charlene has been a great friend to my sons especially in the last 6 months after their mother died unexpectedly in February.
The past year has been one of great growth for me-which might be another way of saying that I might finally be learning to be an adult after alll these years. Fear not! I'm not going to "grow up" anytime soon-I'll leave that to my kids and "significant other"-like any other respectable "baby boomer."
Would love to hear from any and all YV grads by any medium you would choose to employ-we even have the internet in Nevada County and other 21st century intrusions on one's privacy, such as cell phones, Blackberrys, I-pods, etc. Most of the roads and bridges are paved, too-altough they follow the routes and are only as wide as made since for horses and wagons in 1850-1880. As a result, the roads and the "flat land" drivers give you keep you from being bored when driving-if not quite as much as "drive by" gangbangers. Write, phone, drive or e-mail, please.
