Jeff's Story
Life
Well, lets see... what have I done since high school? Well, after me and Desiree Swineheart parted ways, I moved downtown for a while and lived on Reynard Way for a few years, living the life of a slacker and criminal. After college I moved up to Montana for a while, got tired of the cold and moved to Hawaii, then returned to San Diego. I had an aquarium installation company for a couple years, I think the giant aquarium I set up in the Seagrill Restaurant in the Intercontinental is still standing, if you wanna check it out.
Then I moved to San Francisco for a couple years, then returned to San Diego in 1992. I became senior editor for Sin Magazine, then got a job as a graphic designer for the agency which handled Guess jeans ads.
Then I went back to SF for a couple years, doing freelance work and living in a huge loft in the Mission District. About the time the internet took off, I moved to Prague, in the Czech Republic, where I lived for over 7 years. While there, I started off working as a Senior Ar...Expand for more
t Director for McCann Erickson, then began publishing Think.cz magazine. Over the course of that time, I produced a weekly TV show, owned a long distance calling card business and a bar, called the R Hacek Bar. After 9/11, the 100 year floods and the end of a long term relationship to a very beautiful Czech girl, I headed off for Asia in the Fall of 2002. I spent a year travelling around Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, before finally settling in Singapore, where I have relaunched Think Magazine.
I managed to make a good circle of friends with Europeans here, its been so long since I've hung with americans, I think I'm a foreigner now.
Since I've been here less than a year, I haven't really settled down, far too many pretty girls here to settle with one. I plan on growing Think Magazine into a publishing empire wihting the next four years, getting it to the point where I can sell it for enough to retire on. Thats about all... lots of other crazy adventures in there, look me up and lets catch up! - Jeffree Benet
