Here's an update of the last 20 years...
1987-1991 - Attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. After wasting my first year on Pre-Med, then finally realizing I did NOT want to be in school for another 8 years minimum, I instead received a BS in Computer Science.
1993 - Married my college sweetheart, Melanie
1994 - Moved to Atlanta to work for a software company Brock Control Systems (now Firstwave Technologies). I flew 400,000 miles between 1994 and 1999 covering the US, Canada, and South America to do technical consulting work.
1999 - Left Firstwave to work as a Technical Consultant for a start-up software company CAS Systems, mostly for its pre-IPO opportunity. The IPO never ma...Expand for more
terialized. Our son Jack was born in May. In November, while on a trip to Caracas Venezuela, I was kidnapped (adult napped?) at gunpoint and robbed. I escaped by jumping out of a moving car. I reduced my travel significantly after this, and have not traveled abroad since.
2001 - Left CAS to work for EMC Corp., where I have been ever since. I am a Sales Systems Engineer supporting large Telecom companies, and enjoy my job very much.
2002 - Our daughter Audra was born
2006 - Our son Eric was born (last one....we promise)
2008 - Left EMC to work for Cisco this Spring, doing pretty much the same type of work.
We enjoy life in Atlanta. Our kids are active in sports, dance, etc. I coach soccer when I have the time.
