Jeff's Story
Life
I guess this is the area where I'm supposed to let everyone know what I have done since High School.
I graduated Greensburg High School (barely) in 1978. What I remember most about that time in my life was all the drinking and partying that I did. Not really sure how I made it through graduation but somehow I managed to get by. After that, I thought I was on my way to a career in auto mechanics, but I met a girl in Veedersburg, In. and ending up moving there and getting married. That marriage lasted 8 years and resulted in one child, a boy. During that time, I was hired by the Illinois Department of Corrections and I became a Correctional Officer in 1985....Expand for more
I was promoted to Sergeant in 1986. Also, off and on I took some college classes at Danville Area Community College. Divorce came in 1988 and I stayed single until 1996 when I then married my current wife, Dawn. I completed my college degree in Marketing and Mid-Management and also was promoted to Lieutenant in 1993.
I now have two stepchildren, ages 22 and 16 along with my 22 year old son from my prior marriage. I will retire from the Department of Corrections in May of 2010 with 25 years of service and I'll be 50 years old.
