Jeff's Story

Life Jeff Hanley is the Associate Director of The Builders Institute, a building, realty and construction industry membership organization with more than 1,700 members in 14 counties of New York State. The association is based in Armonk, N.Y. Mr. Hanley has been with the Institute since March, 1989. He helps to direct all of the association's programs and services. He frequently interacts with state and local legislators and the media while representing the interests of the building and realty industry. nd at buildersinstitute.org. Mr. Hanley, who was recently divorced, has three children. He recently moved back to Rye, N.Y. He is continuing his work as a freelance writer. He is also a part-time actor and musician. A former member of the daily print media, Mr. Hanley was a sports writer/news writer and columnist for the Gannett Corporation from 1977 to 1989. He also served as Director of Communications for the Westchester County Board of Realtors from 1987 to 1989. In 1986, Mr. Hanley was an Associate Editor for Computer Reseller News, a weekly business publication that covered the microcomputing industry.
