Jeff's Story
Left AK about a year after graduation to pursue a professional baseball career in Newark, New York. After a season ending injury, I wintered in Denver with my parents, ultimately ending up in Orange County California. Tried out and was picked up by the SF Giants minor league system where I played for the next 2 1/2 years. Met and married my first wife during that time and when she became pregnant with our 1st, it was time to get a real job. We left CA. and relocated back to Anchorage in '81 where we had 3 children, 2 boys (Chris & Brandon) and a girl (Melissa). In '87 we went back to CA. where we stayed until '91 when we moved to TX. settling in just north of Houston. We divorced in '94 and stayed close as she kept our daughter and I raised the boys. In 2000, I married my current wife, Wanda, we celebrated 9 years of marriage this last June. Chris, 28, my oldest is a computer geek and lives in Chicago. Brandon, 26, an Air Force Staff Sergeant is about to be released from duty and start school on the GI Bill. Me...Expand for more
lissa, 24, goes to school part time and has worked in the same grocery store since she was 16. She spent 4 years with us after her mom died from breast cancer in 2004 and has recently moved into her first home away from home. She is Daddy's girl so she didn't go too far. After spending 40 years wandering in the wilderness, I have spent the last 11 years seeking God's favor and purpose for my life and He has blessed me well beyond what I deserved. Starting my 5th year of self employment in the service and sales of home, medical, and commercial fitness equipment. My company, Agape Fitness Solutions, can be found on the web. Wanda helps me run the business, but spends most of her time in her 400 sq.ft. sewing room, filled with a long arm sewing machine on a 10' quilting rack, and other assorted sewing machines for various uses. My oldest just gave us my 1st Grandson on 8/4/09 & Wanda's son Blake added their 3rd daughter to his family on 7/30/09. We are enjoying the new role. Empty nest isn't so bad after all...
