Jeffre's Story
My beloved husband, David, passed away on Sept. 10, 2008. I was so blessed to have re-connected with David in 2003 and finding we were both single, had a very quick courtship, became engaged on Valentine's Day, 2004, and were married at my parents home, in late August of that same year and I left California to join him were he lived in Broomfield, CO. Sadly, David was diagnosed with severe Bi-polar Disorder the year after we were married and was hospitalized 110 days between Dec. 2004 and May of 2005. In November, 2006, after David had lost his job and his condition had dibilitated him further, we moved back to California and lived with my parents a short time when David's condition deterioriated further and he had to be placed in a group home in Moreno Valley. David did not fair well there and succumbed to deeper depression and very severe weight problems which contributed to many other life threatening conditions. We had only been married five years when he unexpectantly passed away. He was my first love when I was just a senior in high school and he became the greatest love of my life after we married. We were true soulmates, as David commented several times.
On October 11, 2008, my daughter, Jaime was diagnosed with a very rare brain tumor named, Choride plexus pappilonia. To follow my daughter's progress, please go the following website: caringbridge.org/visit/jaimewarren
Update: Jaime is doing well! She has recovered very well from surgery and is a new mom! I now have a six month old grandson named, "Cole"....Expand for more
I am well and living in Irvine. This past year, in light of our current recession, I was lucky enought to land a full time position at Ricoh Americas as a Customer Service Coordinator. My life is starting over in so many ways. . .
In July, 2009, my dad passed away. My parents were married for 59 years. I am now living with my mom and sadly, we are both widows. The people born in the 50's are now loosing their parents and I am witnessing the "life-cycle" and "circle of life" firsthand. This Christmas my grandson Cole is 26 months old and thriving.
He is the light of my life, curly blond hair, blue eyes and so fun to be with as I discover life again through his eyes, with such excitement, for everything we take for granted. I am grateful and feel very blessed to have such great daughters who are in turn blessed with great husbands. I am surrounded by the love of my family and am the only daughter in a family with three great brothers besides. I have life long friends whose friendship I cherish. Barbara Smith (Manyo) and I have been friends since we were 10 years old--4th grade, Alcott Elementary School--Riverside, CA. Count 'em, 47 years!
This past month I bought a new car, an SUV, Chevy Equinox, that I am so proud to own. I have a great job, and a full life ahead that I am just beginning to re-discover again. I truly enjoyed our combination 39th-40th High School reunion this past August at the Mission Inn in Riverside, and look forward to many more. I have many great memories and have many more memories to make!
